Under the direction of the Deputy Director for Capital Construction, Dolores plans, directs, and manages construction projects for new construction and renovations. Construction project types include industrial, institutional, commercial, maritime, historical, energy-efficiency and site development. Project phases from feasibility study to conceptual design to design development through construction documentation, construction bidding and award, negotiation, through construction administration, project closeout and evaluation. A fully competent engineer/architect requiring supervisory consultation only on unusual or complex technical issues and administrative decisions. Serves in a lead role on small and medium-sized projects, large or complex projects; may have or be in the process of developing a specialty within the construction industry.
